London-based, Austrian-Brazilian artist Viji has dropped the fantastic new single, ‘Sundress In Pink’. It’s a laid-back track that opens with a distant, almost Pink Floyd-esque guitar arpeggio that supports her drifting, melodic voice. The sonic palette she has created is warm and effortless, with a kaleidoscope of fuzzy synths developing and driving the track throughout. “This song is one of my favorite ones off the record,” she says. “I’m not sure why but I think the bed of instruments is really comforting to me. The title essentially creates a world in which summer never ends. As long as I’m in the dress I can stay out as long as I want. It’s about escapism, for me, it was in people and mostly I didn’t care who.” Her debut album, So Vanilla, is dropping on October 27th, 2023, via Speedy Wunderground. -Dan Peeke
